Charity Update 2

Our charity year (which always starts in September) got off to a flying start with our Golf Day on Friday 3rd September at Rufford Park Golf & Country Club. The weather was kind to us, with just a little fine rain for the first few hours before the sun started to shine through.  I would like to thank all of our clients and friends who supported our charity on the day, the Cooper Street Project which is run by our good friends Bill and Jacky Dootson. Their Charity supports very poor families and street Kids who come from a very poor community based in Swelledam, South Africa. On the day we raised enough money to buy two new purpose-built houses (one bedroom and a proper kitchen/living area) for two families who are currently living in a one room tin shack.

This was followed up by two of our directors undertaking the Limestone way a challenging, a 42 mile walk on behalf of our other two charities East Cheshire Hospice and Paces Charity based in Sheffield. Paces support children and adults living with Neurological Conditions such as Cerebral Palsy, MS, Stroke, Parkinsons and those who have suffered a Brain Injury.

Making life-changing steps every day and supporting those who may have otherwise been told there is no more hope for their future prospects. Both Geoff and I would like to thank all of our BNI colleagues, clients, and family for supporting the both of us on this challenging walk.

The just giving pages are still open (links below) and we would welcome further donations to these excellent local charities
