Switched On Solutions support Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
During September Switched On Solutions were proud to support Childhood Cancer awareness month helping to inform how to spot the symptoms of this devastating illness. The symptoms of Childhood Cancer can be challenging to spot as children have a habit of falling ill to a number of non life threatening ailments. Symptoms such as Sickness, High temperature, Bone or Joint pain, Bruising are put down to a child picking something up from the children they play with. More often than not these symptoms are just that, not life threatening just a result of growing up and experiencing early life. However, being aware may save a child’s life.
As a business we support and work with a small local charity who provide holidays for children and families who are experiencing living with this illness, some of which will lose a child to cancer, leaving behind, a brother or sister as well as grieving parents. This charity, Dawson you are my Sunshine has put together a list of Symptoms to look out for, you can find these below.

- Excessive bruising or bleeding, blood in urine
- Persistent pain /discomfort
- Sickness or nausea
- Frequent exhaustion, fatigue
- White spots in the eye
- Shortness of breath
- Swelling or lump
- Unexplained weight loss
- Bone or joint pain
- A change in walk, balance, or speech
- Pale skin
- Headaches
- Recurrent high temperature
- Disturbance in vision or new squint
